My training as a therapist is rooted in clinical social work, which is a discipline that conceptualizes mental health and healing from various individual, social and cultural vantage points. I hold a master's degree from UC Berkeley's School of Social Welfare, as well as a bachelor's degree in Psychology from UC Berkeley. I have experience providing therapy for individuals, children, and families coping with emotional distress, and have supported individuals experiencing depression, trauma, anxiety and other challenging life circumstances.
I am bi-cultural and bilingual, and have extensive experience providing therapy in Spanish. I bring to my practice an appreciation of the complex issues of immigration, acculturation and various factors of oppression.
If you would like to know more about starting therapy, feel free to contact me and we can talk to see if I may be a good match for you.
